O'o: The Last Voice of Kauai
O'o: The Last Voice of Kauai is an award-winning environmental film about human-caused extinction featuring a bird known as the Kauaʻi ʻōʻō, which was once endemic to the Hawaiian island of Kaua'i. This film was created as my 2022 senior thesis film at Lesley University.
This film was animated in Adobe Animate and edited in Premiere Pro with additional experimental animation done in TVPaint and Dragonframe. The backgrounds were designed in Clip Studio Paint EX, and the extinct species portraits were illustrated in Procreate by Carolyn Doremus.
